The government establishes the baseline procurement price of paddy at Rs 2,800 for each quintal.

The administration has established the minimum support price for spring paddy (Chaite dhaan) for the fiscal year 2024/25.

During the Council of Ministers’ assembly on Wednesday evening, it was determined that the minimum support price for spring paddy with moisture levels up to 18 percent will be set at Rs 2,800.69 per quintal.

For spring rice that has moisture content exceeding 18 percent, the government will modify the minimum support price by deducting 1,200 grams per quintal for every additional percentage of moisture.
