Snow Rivers Limited is a power generation company that manages the Super Kabeli Khola, a Hydropower Initiative. Situated in the Taplejung District of eastern Nepal, the project harnesses the natural current of the Kabeli and Amji rivers to produce electricity.

In contrast to numerous companies that seek funding while still in the construction phase, this project has already been completed and is fully operational. It commenced the sale of electricity to the national power grid on Poush 05, 2081.

The plant boasts a total capacity of 13.5 Megawatts. The Super Kabeli Khola A Hydropower Project (SKKAHPP) is classified as a Run-of-River (RoR) type hydropower initiative, located in Sirijangha Rural Municipality, Wards No. 7 and 8 (formerly known as Yamphudin and Kheban VDCs), Taplejung District, Mechi Zone, Koshi Province, Nepal. The project site is approximately 253 km northeast (aerial distance) of Kathmandu. Kabeli Khola, upon which the project is established, is a significant tributary of the Tamor River.

Snow Rivers Limited has attained an enhanced credit rating of [ICRANP-IR] BB+ from ICRA Nepal, climbing from its former designation of “BB-“. This new rating signifies that the company faces a “moderate risk” in terms of its capacity to repay its financial obligations punctually. The enhancement serves as a favorable indicator for investors, mirroring the company’s evolution from a development phase project to a fully operational electricity-producing enterprise since late 2024.
