The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has declared a substantial surge in the prices of fuel products, taking effect at midnight, April 03, 2026 (Chaitra 20, 2082 BS). The oil entity has raised the costs of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene by Rs 15 per liter.
Reason Behind the Increase
The NOC attributed the surge to the ongoing turmoil in West Asia, which has led to a persistent climb in global oil prices. Despite tapping into the Price Stabilization Fund, the company foresees a loss of Rs 5 billion over the past 15 days and expects an additional Rs 11 arba 71 crore loss in the coming 15 days following this price adjustment.
Revised Retail Prices (per Liter)
The updated prices differ across three regional categories as follows:
| Category | Locations | Petrol (New Price) | Diesel/Kerosene (New Price) |
| First Category | Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Birgunj | Rs 199.50 | Rs 171.50 |

| Third Category | Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dipayal | Rs 202.00 | Rs 182.00 |
