NEPSE Lose another 53.04 points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a notable decline today, losing 53.04 points (2.04%) and finishing at 2,614.68, after a setback of 12.38 points in the last trading session.

The trading period began at 2,667.61, with the index fluctuating between a peak of 2,669.00 and a trough of 2,614.09. The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 6.32 Arba, involving 12,371,280 shares exchanged across 317 companies through 72,265 trades. The market’s overall capitalization stood at Rs. 43.41 Kharba, while the float market capitalization reached Rs. 14.47 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover list, reporting transactions worth Rs. 42.06 Crores, with its shares closing at Rs. 938.

NMB 50 (NMB50) rose to prominence as the leading gainer, with a 3.94% increment.

On the other hand, Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBBL) suffered the most significant decline, plummeting by 10% each.

Among the sectors, the Finance Index noted the steepest fall, decreasing by 2.98%, whereas the Mutual Fund Index recorded the least drop at 0.71%.
