In the past month of Falgun, the government amassed Rs 4.12 billion in revenue from the real estate sector. According to the Department of Land Management and Archives, the preceding month, Magh, saw a considerable uptick in realty transactions compared to the earlier period.
As the realty market steadily returns to normality, revenue collection has surged. Broken down, Rs 288 million was accrued from service tax, Rs 2.20 billion from registration fees, and Rs 1.57 billion from capital gains tax during this timeframe. In a month-by-month comparison, the government succeeded in generating Rs 3.83 billion in Saun, Rs 3.9 billion in Bhadra, Rs 3.8 billion in Asoj, Rs 2.70 billion in Kartik, Rs 3.87 billion in Mangsir, Rs 4.25 billion in Poush, and Rs 3.87 billion in Magh for this fiscal year.
The Land Revenue Office in Lagankhel, Lalitpur district independently collected Rs 380.2 million in revenue during Falgun, as reported by the Department.
