House of Representatives unanimously passed the E-Commerce Bill, 2081.

On 18th Feb, 2025 the House of Representatives unanimously approved the E-Commerce Bill, 2081.

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari introduced this legislation to the assembly.

Previously, lawmakers had requested the government’s perspective on various facets of the bill. In reply, Minister Bhandari stated that this legislation was enacted to oversee and organize transactions conducted through digital means, as the buying and selling of goods and services via electronic commerce continues to surge in the nation.

Additionally, during today’s session, the annual report from the Attorney General for the fiscal year 2079/80 was submitted. Defense Minister Manbir Rai presented the report on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The subsequent meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for February 23.
