Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwo Nath Paudel submitted the yearly report of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for the fiscal year 2081/82 to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal. The report is organized into three segments, detailing the general economic and financial landscape, the bank’s activities, and the audited financial statements. NRB’s net profit, prior to adjustments for foreign exchange and asset revaluation, rose by 8.11% to NPR 8.048 billion.
The NRB Board resolved to allocate requisite funds to various reserves and transfer the remaining NPR 4.2 billion to the government. By mid-July 2082, the bank’s total assets and liabilities surged by 28.23% to NPR 26.712 billion. This submission adheres to the stipulations under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058, which requires annual reporting and audit presentation to the government within four months following the end of the fiscal year.
