The cost of gold in Nepal has continued its upward trend, reaching a groundbreaking peak in the local market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the value of pure gold skyrocketed by Rs. 3,900 in just one day on Wednesday, attaining an extraordinary Rs. 185,000 per tola.
This marks a substantial rise from the previous day’s rate of Rs. 181,100 per tola and exceeds the former high of Rs. 181,100 per tola established on April 3, 2025.
Tejabi gold, a popular choice among consumers, also experienced a significant jump, ascending to Rs. 180,400 per tola from Rs. 184,300 per tola the day prior.
The surge in prices is not confined to gold alone. Silver has also witnessed a notable increase, climbing by Rs. 5 per tola. Silver is now valued at Rs. 1,905 per tola, up from Rs. 1,900 per tola.
