The value of gold in Nepal is on a continual rise, achieving a groundbreaking peak in the local market.
As reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of pure gold escalated by Rs. 5,700 in a single day on Wednesday, hitting an extraordinary Rs. 181,100 per tola.
This represents a remarkable leap from the prior day’s price of Rs. 175,400 per tola and exceeds the previous high of Rs. 180,300 per tola established on April 3, 2025.
Tejabi gold, a favored choice among consumers, also saw a significant uplift, rising to Rs. 180,400 per tola from Rs. 174,700 per tola on the previous day.
The increase in prices isn’t confined to gold alone; silver has also seen a significant ascent, increasing by Rs. 65 per tola. The current price of silver is now Rs. 1,900 per tola, up from Rs. 1,835 per tola on Tuesday.
