“Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1)”, a closed-end mutual fund overseen by Citizens Capital Limited and backed by Citizens Bank International Limited, is set to mature on Falgun 19, 2081. This fund, consisting of 8.2 crore units priced at Rs. 10 each, was launched as a seven-year investment initiative and is now approaching the conclusion of its term.

According to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON)-sanctioned prospectus, Clause 8.9, along with the Mutual Fund Regulation, 2067, Clause 31(1)(a), the fund is required to undergo liquidation upon reaching maturity. In accordance with Clause 31(8) of the same regulation, an application has been submitted to remove Citizens Mutual Fund 1 from the stock market at least one month prior to maturity, halting all secondary market dealings for the fund following delisting.

After delisting, the payout procedures for investors will commence. Unitholders will receive notifications on the redemption process and the timeline for fund distribution based on regulatory mandates. Investors and stakeholders are urged to remain updated through official communications from Citizens Capital Limited concerning the fund’s liquidation and payout schedule.
