Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is poised to present the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 at a joint session of the Federal Parliament today. The meeting is set to commence at 3 PM.
As per the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the budget unveiling is part of the official agenda for today’s joint assembly. Legislators from both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly have been advised to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.
This year’s budget is anticipated to be around Rs. 19 kharba. Key priorities are expected to focus on economic growth, infrastructure enhancement, job generation, and initiatives aimed at increasing capital expenditure.
Prior to the joint session, the House of Representatives will convene at 1:30 PM, where Finance Minister Paudel will deliver the Economic Survey, which assesses the nation’s economic performance during the current fiscal year.
