Barun Hydropower Company Limited (BARUN) has put forth a proposal for a 5% dividend for the financial year 2081/82 and has scheduled the 22nd AGM on Mangsir 26, 2082. The AGM is set to take place at the Smart Durbar in Shankha Park, Kathmandu, commencing at 9:30 a.m. that day.
The board of directors convened on Mangsir 03 and resolved to issue 4.75% in bonus shares valued at Rs. 5.09 Crores, and a 0.25% cash dividend (for taxation purposes) amounting to Rs. 26.79 lakhs sourced from the paid-up capital. The company’s paid-up capital stands at Rs. 1.07 Arba.
Additionally, the agenda will feature the approval of the auditor’s report, in conjunction with the profit and loss statements, financial reports, and cash flow statements, as well as the appointment of an auditor for the fiscal year 2082/83.
Topics on the agenda also include ratification of the decisions made by the Board of Directors, discussions about meeting allowances and provisions for board members, endorsement of the institutional good governance report, and the sanctioning of the Board of Directors’ appointments.
The company has announced the book closure for dividends and AGM on Mangsir 14. Thus, investors registered before this date are eligible for the dividend and are permitted to attend the AGM.
